👋 Welcome!

<aside> 📀 This page exists to provide resources to complement the ARENA course material.

In this program, we’ll be going through a curriculum designed to skill people up in deep learning.

Some background - why we’re creating this

We received an overwhelming number of applications to our ARENA 2.0 and 3.0 programs, and only had a limited number of spaces to offer to people. We strongly believe that there are a large number of talented people who want to get into AI safety technical research, and the field needs scalable ways of helping them to upskill. We’ve written and published these resources to try and assist with this in any way we can.

We don’t expect participants to work through this material at the same pace as the in-person cohort, rather each participant (or group of participants) can work through the material at their own pace.

Bottom-up, not top-down

The philosophy of these resources is bottom-up, not top-down. Rather than imposing on you a particular way of studying the material, we intend to provide resources for you to study the material in a way which suits you best. We are open to suggestions from you all about how to improve this material, and make it as accessible as possible.

This is partly what the #suggestions ****channel is for in the Slack group.

Slack group

We have created a Slack group to facilitate joint discussion and study of this material. You can find a joining link here.
